According to folklore, the Ben-Ezra Synagogue is located on the site where baby Moses was found. While the founding date is unknown, there is evidence that the original buildings date to 882 CE.

Beautifully preserved, the Tomb of Menna is one of the most visited sites in the Theban necropolis. The tomb features a subterranean burial chamber, a rock-cut chapel, and an outer courtyard, which is typical of 18th dynasty burial sites.

Visit the resting place of Queen Meresanka III, daughter of Hetepheres II and Prince Kawab and wife of Pharoh Khafre. The tomb, located in Giza, is elaborately decorated and features a rock-cut chapel.

In 1900 a donkey fell into a shaft, and one of the seven wonders of the middle ages was discovered, the Catacombs of Kom al-Shuqafa. Used as a burial changer from the second to the fourth century, the tombs feature stunning statues and archaeological objects.
